A Louise Lorton brace and a penalty for Ashlee Hincks was enough for Gillingham Ladies to progress to the Kent FA Women’s Cup Final as they defeated Herne Bay Ladies in their semi final at Chatham Town FC.

Going into the match, Gillingham Ladies manager Simon Ratcliffe was desperate to get a win under his belt against a Herne Bay side who have only lost one game all season.

The game started with Gillingham Ladies on the front foot and Hincks got away from her defender and hit a shot towards goal but it was deflected for a corner. Emma Tune crossed the ball into the penalty box but the ball was easily gathered up by Sarah Cooper.
