On Sunday afternoon our young mascot Lois had the pleasure of leading out the Gillingham Ladies alongside Anchorians, as the team enjoyed their first competitive game at Priestfield Stadium.
Lois wrote to the club following the afternoon to share her delight at being part of the special afternoon which saw Gills beat Keynsham 2-1.
Lois said: “I had a brilliant day when I was mascot for Gillingham Ladies FC. It was amazing!”
“Thank you to everyone who came to watch and an even bigger thank you to Nat, Charlotte and all the other Gills staff that gave me this opportunity to lead the ladies out. It really inspired me. I am so glad we won!”
Lois, currently Under 11s Captain at Gillingham’s Centre of Excellence also revealed how the game had inspired her: ”
Hopefully one day I will be able to play for Gillingham Ladies FC too! I will definately be going to more games!”
