Gillingham Ladies Football Club are very proud to announce a new partnership with Pro Kickers Academy (PKA).

PKA is a leading grass roots football coaching company in London and the South East with a mission to enable children of all abilities to have fun, to learn in a positive environment which inspires them to participate and achieve. PKA is now working alongside Gillingham Ladies to provide coaching for our first team squad to develop technique, skill and match related practices and importantly, to provide the girls with the foundations to train hard, play well and have fun.

Founded in 2008 by Gillingham Ladies assistant manager Jack Wheeler, PKA provides opportunities for a wide range of people of all abilities and ages. From morning, lunchtime and after school clubs to primary to secondary transition sessions, PKA tailors training sessions to the specific needs and desired outcomes of its group members.

With PKA coaches forming Gillingham Ladies management team, as well as Gills Ladies vice-captain and last season’s Player of the Season Jay Blackie, Chairman Martin Andrews revealed his delight at the opportunity to work closely with the company: “I am really happy for Gillingham Ladies Football Club to partner up with Pro-Kickers Academy. This will give us a great opportunity to raise our profile outside the local area and also be able to offer girls and boys the chance to learn their football skills in a professional, safe environment. Please click our football schools tab for up and coming courses.”

Martin also paid tribute to the coaching and expertise PKA has delivered through the first team: “Having James and Jack, alongside other Pro Kickers Academy coaches has benefited our club immensely. Our fine start to the season reflects their endeavours and the professional approach they’ve instilled throughout the club.”

Head Coach Jack also told us how pleased he is to formally link up with Kent’s best women’s team: “These are very exciting times for us as a company and also as management to have this fantastic opportunity for our staff to help the development, progression and vision of Gillingham Ladies Football Club.”

“We hope for a long and successful partnership for many years to come.”
